Here are the instructions to take a Screenshot using your laptop. With some laptops you are able to use the ctrl + insert/prt sc keys. Or you can also use shift + insert/prs sc keys, some laptop use the fn key.
These are the steps to follow to take a Screenshot using the fn key:
- Press and hold the fn key (located to the left of your spacebar) and then press the insert/prt sc key (usually just above the backspace key.) Your screenshot will be automatically saved to your computer's clipboard.
- Press the Start key on your laptop, or just click on Start. When the Start menu opens up, type Paint in the search box. If you are using windows8, go to search and type Paint.When Paint comes up, click on it. This will open a Paint window for you.
- Go to Edit on the top bar and select Paste. On windows8 there is no need for edit, at the top left corner of the Paint window, you will see Paste, click on it and your content will be pasted on the empty page. You can also use this code to paste:Crtl+V.
- Click on the save icon at the Top right corner of the paint window and a small window will appear where you can give it any name you desire. Next, click on the red X at the top right corner of the paint window to close the Paint window. Your screenshot will be saved to pictures by default.
